Caroline Bailey

Caroline Bailey’s work is inspired by her love of land and sea and the footprints of human activity found where they meet.  Although descriptive of the places she likes, her paintings are not documentary but rather concerned with shape, vibrant colour and layering of textures.  She hopes to express something of the feel and atmosphere of the experience of being ‘there’.  Once she begins a painting it determines its own direction and its own conclusion.
